Build Trip - Asheville

As we continue to pray for everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene, we are partnering with Samaritan’s Purse to send a Build Trip Team to assist with Hurricane Helene relief in Asheville, NC from November 20th through November 23rd! November 23 - Arrival Time Back at CMC: Estimated 9:00pm

Samaritan's Purse will be providing project details for our team upon arrival.

Who Can Attend?

Anyone over the age of 18, or a minor with a guardian present on the trip can attend. 

What Will This Build Trip Team Be Doing?

The details of this trip will be emerging in the next few weeks. It is likely we will be doing storm related cleanup which could include but is not limited to : 

  • Residential “mudouts” where sheetrock is removed to a point above the waterline and Clorox is applied to areas.
  • Chainsaw teams (removed debris from storm)
  • Clean up
  • Person to person encouragement and other possible ministry opportunities
  • Possibly work with supply chain centers in the area to hand out essential items

Accomodations

The team will most likely be assigned to stay in a local church or community center. Be prepared to sleep with sleeping bags on the floor or cot. However, we have not received the specific details of the host site for our accommodations.
